Jason Seutter – Practice Administrator
Jason Seutter is our Practice Administrator who ensures the best for each patient. From financing options to answering any questions you may have, he is available as one of the Patient Coordinators to assist you throughout your journey with us at Surgical Arts of Virginia. He has been a part of the SAOFVA family since our first facility opened in 2008.
Jason has two beautiful daughters. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors and cooking together.

Cassandra Deardorff – Practice Manager
Cassandra Deardorff is our Practice Manager who works with each of our patients on a daily basis. As one of the Patient Coordinators, she can help you through your journey at Surgical Arts of Virginia from start to finish. From the first voice you hear when you call, to the last face you see as you leave our office, she hopes to help each person leave with a smile on their face.
Cassandra holds degrees, as well as multiple certifications, in Psychology and Administration of Justice. She continues her education in Business Management and Psychology but has a natural passion for helping others feel beautiful from the inside out.
She is a mom of one boy and loves all things outdoors. In her spare time, Cassandra represents as Ms. Virginia United States 2019.

Fiona Meyer – Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Originally from Scotland, Fiona Meyer LPN is our Surgical First Assistant. She aids the surgeon/RN during operations and medical procedures, assembles the OR before and after surgery, reviews patient health history and previous medical conditions with Dr. Palmer, oversees laboratory studies and performs close follow-up care and patient teaching pre/postoperatively.
Fiona graduated from Kee Business College as CMA in 1997 and continued her education at Career Training Solutions, where she earned her LPN in 2007. With 20+ years’ experience in various positions within the medical field, she has worked in an urgent care setting, a rehabilitation hospital, and a medical/surgical unit as a floor nurse.
Fiona is caring at heart and passionate about helping people and making a difference in their lives. She finds that the medical field is exciting and ever-changing with great opportunities to advance, learn and expand knowledge. She considers the small team at Surgical Arts of Virginia to be her work family.
Fiona is recently engaged, and is a mother of two. Her daughter is a member of the U.S. Marine Corps and is currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Her son recently began driving. She loves tackling home improvement projects and spending time outdoors, especially near the crackle of a bonfire.
Heidi Harper – Registered Nurse (RN BSN)
Heidi Harper, RN BSN, has been a nurse since 1999 and is licensed in Virginia. She specializes in administering IV medications, monitoring patient vital signs, and assisting Dr. Palmer during all surgeries. She also performs pre-op patient preparations and post-op patient recovery care.
Heidi graduated from Chamberlain College of Nursing with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with Presidential Honors in 2017. She also graduated from Excelsior College with an Associate of Science in Nursing in 2006. She has over 18 years of hospital experience working in the Emergency Department, Critical Care, Telemetry/Medical Intensive Care, Pediatrics and Mother/Baby Units.
Heidi maintains certifications in:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Basic Life Support
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- Stroke Certification
Heidi has lived in Virginia since 2000 and is married to her husband Jeff. Together, they have three children and are the proud grandparents of one granddaughter.
Marina Valentin – Master Aesthetician
Marina Valentin is a Master Aesthetician & Master Esthetician Educator. Additionally, holds specializations which have allowed her the titles of the Dermal Micropigmentation Specialist, Laser Technician, Electrologist within both VA and MD. She has over 25 years of experience in the skin care industry. Originally, she earned my Medical Aesthetic Degree from Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of the Russian Federation, St. Petersburg Medical Academy of Post- Graduate Studies. When moving to the states 20 years ago, she was grandfathered in by the education standards of VA, then developed and taught Master Esthetician training curriculum at Aesthetic Schools. With extensive knowledge of skin care products and alternative skin care therapy, she believes that non-invasive treatments for facial rejuvenation have a bright future in become an even greater part of the aesthetic industry.
In her spare time, Marina enjoys reading, traveling, listening to classical music, sports and loving on her family, which includes two grandchildren.
