Revision Breast Surgery
If you have had previous breast surgery and the result was not what you expected, a revision surgery can often give you the look you desire. The requests I receive most common are removal or exchange of implants, repair of capsular contracture (hard, misshapen breasts) resulting from previous implants, sagging after previous implant placement, and “bottoming out” (too much breast visible below the nipple) and/or abnormal placement or widening of the areola of the breasts after previous lift or reduction. Each patient is carefully examined and an operative approach developed to address the problem leading to the poor appearance.
It often surprises me how long a patient has lived with a less than optimal outcome after breast surgery and I find it very satisfying to correct these problems.
